Marion was born in Ukraine, and immigrated to New York City at eighteen, weaving the tapestry of American life into her own. Coming from a lineage where hard work and survival was a necessity of life, art was her whispered secret, a refuge found in precious moments of creation. Yet, her spirit found expression and nourishment in drawing and painting, a quiet flame that grew into a passionate exploration of mixed media in the early 2000s, a path that continues to unfold.

The series that follows began in 2013, born from the intimate space of a small kitchen table in my Victorian apartment in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury. These works are a visual contemplation of my experiential studies at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I immersed myself in the wisdom of indigenous cultures and shamanic worldviews, grappling with the complexities of colonization and industrialization in our contemporary world.

This period also marked the beginning of my personal healing journey, guided by indigenous healing modalities, a path that I continued upon my return to New York City in 2015. Art became my sanctuary, a way to weave these profound experiences into the fabric of my life, and to embody and to preserve the wisdom I received.
